What happens in act 1 scene 3?
A
The three witches appear near the battlefield. Macbeth and Banquo come across them with looks of horror. The witches call Macbeth the theme of glam is and Cawdor. This confused him as he isn’t aware that he has been made the thane of Cawdor. They also declare that Macbeth will be King one day. They tell Banquo that his children will sit upon the throne. They then vanish and tell MacBeth no more, despite his questions. Roos and Angus arraive to tell MacBeth his new title. Macbeth wonders whether he will have to commit devious crimes in order to become King.
