What happens in Act 2 Scene 3?
A
The porter stumbles through the hallway to answer the knocking. He compares himself to the porter at the gates of hell. Macduff and Lennox enter - Macduff complains about the slow response to the knocking.
The porter talks about the effects of alcohol.
Macbeth enters and Macduff asks if the king is awake. Macduff comes running from the King’s chamber saying that the King has been murdered.
Malcolm and Donalbain arrive on the scene and are told that their father has been murdered.
