Q

What happens in act 1 serene 7?

A

Macbeth ponders his ideas for assassinating Duncan. He considers the reasons why he shouldn’t kill Duncan - he is his kinsman, subject, host and the King is a virtuous ruler. He decided that there is no reason to murder the King other than he own ambition.
Lady Macbeth enters and Macbeth declares that he will no longer kill the King. She calls him a coward and questions his manhood. She promised that they won’t fail. She says that the plan is to make the king’s Chamberlain’s drunk while he sleeps. They will smear the King’s blood on them. They will look guilty.
