CPS:
- police give evidence to CPS they advise the police and present the case to court DONT DO

Police and probation:

  • courts work with the police and prisons to ensure safe delivery of prisoners to court
  • police can appear as witnesses in court
  • probation service prepares pre-sentence report for the courts and the evidence from police is used in court, carry out court others such as drug testing

Prison:

  • court send to prison and police initially discovered the offenders who were placed in prison
  • prison work with the courts as they are supervising and punishing

Probation:

  • CPS implement the types of sentence is given, if probation is not followed, they are sent back to court
  • work with prison as they support offenders before and after their release from prison
  • gives reports in relation to prison service
  • prison and probation focus on punishing (prison with detaining, probation with supervising)
  • probation and prison carry out punishment from the court
