Straight Arm Lock
Slice 1: Final Position
Position: You have gained to position necessary to establish the Straight Arm Lock.
Indication: How do you perform the lock?
Legs across Op’s body.
Knees close to each other.
Heels pulled in tight.
Your pelvis as close to Op as possible.
Op’s arm rotated so that their thumb point up.
Op’s arm held tight to your chest.
Push down on your heels to bridge your hips up.
Straight Arm Lock
Slice 2: From Mount to Arm Lock.
Position: You are in Mount and Op is vulnerable to the Arm Lock.
Indication: Op pushes you up (bench press).
Place your hands on Op’s chest. One hand in between Op’s arm and one hand over Op’s arm that you intend to lock. Fingers pointing where you want your feet to land.
Place your weight on Op’s chest.
Raise knee that your fingers are pointed at and place your foot up by Op’s arm pit. Lean you knee out (open hip) to keep your weight low.
With most of your weight on Op’s chest, roll your opposite foot around. Keep your hips as close to Op as possible.
Grab Op’s wrist and hug it to your chest.
Lean back.
Etc…
Straight Arm Lock
Slice 3: Modified Mount
Position: You are in Mount and Op is vulnerable to the Arm Lock.
Indication: Op rolls to their side.
Move from Mount to Modified Mount. Leg that Op is facing goes to Knee up with your foot pulled into Op’s hips. Your other knee slide up to the back of Op’s head.
Walk your foot from the Op’s hips up towards their chest.
Your inside arm hooks Op’s arm at the elbow.
Your outside arm places 90% of your weight on Op’s head.
Slide your outside leg in a circle to allow your foot to land in front of Op’s head. Hips low.
Sit down into Straight Arm Lock.
