Q

Punch Block Series. Defending from Guard.
Slice 2: Low Punch

Position: Op is in your Guard.

Indication: Op responds to Slice 1 by pulling an arm back to punch at your head or body..

A

When Op pulls back for a punch, fill the space with your knee. Your foot should land on Op’s hip.
Hook Op’s arm down with spoon grip to hold behind your knee.
Both sides if necessary.
Op will either lean in towards you (pull Op in with your knees till you can re-wrap into Slice 1) or move further back (Slice 3, 4, or 5).

Note: When I have the knee/hook on Op’s arm, they could try to swim past your arm. Respond by swim past and re-establishing knee/hook. Manage the gap between your knee and arm.
