Q

Explain the electricity supply…..

A

25,000 volts - Collected by the PANTOGRAPH located in the PMLW vehicle - Current travels via the LINE CIRCUIT BREAKER located in the HIGH VOLTAGE BOX - Current goes into the MAIN TRANSFORMER where the AC is converted into DC - This output from the Transformer is then sent to the 2 LMA Propulsion Modules - The power is then distributed to the TRACTION MOTORS via the Motor Converter Modules and to the AUXILIARY SYSTEMS via the Auxiliary Converter Modules

The 850 V DC in the Transformer ALSO gets routed to a Auxiliary Converter Module (as well as to the Motor Converter Module which converts the power to 700 V AC, which goes into the Traction Motors on EACH vehicle).......... which converts the power to 400 V AC for the auxiliary systems, and to the Auxiliary Power Supply Unit to convert to 110V DC for battery charging. What auxiliary systems are housed in the Driving Motor vehicles?
3 phase 400 V AC.... Air Compressor Battery Charger Cab HVAC Cab Heater Converter Case Cooling Saloon HVAC (A-B-3C-S) Single phase 230 V AC.... Passenger sockets Saloon under floor heating Cab and cleaning sockets (PS, you're a CCunt)

Cleaning sockets Passenger sockets Toilet (....Stop System - was activated by Chris Pratt.... what a Twat)
28
How many Auxiliary Converter Modules (Within the LMA Propulsion Module) are on a 3 car?

3 (Auxiliary Load Shedding is 3 words = 3 loads of shedding)
30
There are 2 battery rafts.... one on each DM/DMC vehicle.... they convert 400 volts AC to 110 volts DC and if one of them fails then the other can still support all the DC functionality. If the OLE goes down, how long can the batteries keep on running for?
3 hours (full power for 2 minutes, then the TCMS manages a progressive reduction in battery loads by dropping non-essential loads)
31
The battery isolation switch is located externally on which vehicles? Can a driver isolate the batteries?
Driving Motor vehicles (because the battery rafts are only located on these vehicles) No... a driver must not isolate the batteries
