Q

what does reliability focus on?

Q

what is the test-retest method?

A
  • measures external reliability
  • gives the same test to the same ppt’s twice (on different occasions)
  • if the same result is gained then reliability is established

Q

what is the split-half method?

A
  • measures internal validity
  • splits the test in half and has the same ppt complete both halves
  • if a similar result is provided from both halves, then it has internal reliability

Q

what is inter-observer reliability?

A
  • designed to stop observer bias
  • two or more observers complete independent observations on the same study
