Q

How do humans affect the nitrogen cycle?

A

Humans use nitrogen to grow crops better. If this leaks into a river or reservoir, then it can lead to excess algae growth, which can damage or hurt the ecosystem in the water.

Q

What are some differences between the energy and the carbon in the carbon cycle?

A

The carbon will start the cycle again once it is finished, while the energy will leave the cycle as heat. One similarity is that they both originate from the producers.

Q

Why is it so rare to see carbon in carnivores?

A

Because there is a long list of steps that the carbon has to go through and most carbon atoms don’t make it that far.
