Q

What occurs after anaerobic respiration in muscle cells

A

And oxygen debt where you have to repay the oxygen you didn’t manage to get to your muscles in time

6
Q

What is an oxygen debt

A

The amount of extra oxygen needed to react with and remove lactic acid from muscle cells of the exercise. Lactic acid is removed from the body by being carried by the blood to the liver and converted to glucose or by reacting with oxygen

Q

What’s the difference between anaerobic and aerobic respiration

A
  • Anaerobic doesn’t need oxygen where as aerobic does
  • Aerobic produces lactic acid in the muscles and CO2/Ethanol in plants and use where as aerobic produces Co2 and water
  • A large amount of energy is transferred in aerobic where the small amount is transferred in anaerobic
