Explain the trial before Jewish Authorities
They took Jesus to the high priest. All the important people were assembled there. People gave false testimonies against Jesus but they didn’t agree. The high priests asked Jesus ‘What are they complaining about?’ He didn’t answer. The High Priest asked Him if He was the Messiah. Jesus said he was. The High Priest then tore his clothes and said ‘why do we still need witnesses?, you have heard his Blasphemy.’ The council then decided he is to be put to death. Then the guards beat Him.
