What is ecological succesion?
Ecological succession is when a species and habitat change at the same time.
What is primary succession?
Primary succession is when the top soil is completely wiped out, and can take over a century for the land to recover.
What is secondary succession?
Secondary succession is when the top soil isn’t completely gone, and is able to recover in a few years.
What are pioneer species?
Pioneer species are the first organisms start to help the enviroment move forward in growth.
What are serial stages?
Serial stages are the when other organisms start to inhabit the area.
What is a climax community?
A climax community is when when the habitat is finally healthy and flurishing.
What is species richness?
Richness is the amount of different species.
What is species evenness?
Eveness is how even the diversity is between species.
What are keystone species?
Organisms that bring the first step into defining an ecosystems.
What are invasive species?
Organisms that are not native to the land and use up the resources that meant to be used for others.
