1.2 study guide - standard deviation Flashcards
studying for the science test 🤪🤪🤪🤪
What are the steps to finding Standard Deviation?
In order, the steps are; mean, deviation, √deviation.
What is the difference between volume and mass?
Volume is the measurement of airspace in an object, and mass is the measurement of matter in an object. (Matter for mass.)
What is an Independant variable?

What is it called when a graph looks like there’s a mountain in the center of the data?
A peak graph.
What is it called when most of the data is on the same line on the graph?
A constant graph.
How do you properly write an explanation paragraph for your data?
Firstly, you start by listing off your claim. Then keep it going by presenting your evidence. As you state your evidence, compare it to other evidence you found. What patterns are there? Why is it important?
Where on the graph does the Independant variable go?
The Independant varible, also known as x, belongs on the x-axis.
Where on the graph does the Dependant variable?
The Dependant variable, also known as y, belongs on the y-axis.
