Who will be the Investigating Supervisor for LOD injury?
Platoon Commander, Pct of Occurrence, IF AVAILABLE, will prepare Parts A and B.
*So if he’s on duty but at another job or a meeting, then technically he is unavailable.
How will Investigating Supervisor be determined for LOD injuries?
Only Platoon Commander, Pct of Occurrence, will prepare Parts A and B
If not available, then
Patrol Supv, will be Investigating Supervisor and prepare Part B only
DO, Pct of Occurrence, will designate a 2nd supervisor to complete Part A. If none available, then the DO will prepare Part A himself.
Part C only prepared by cop if he’s requesting LOD designation. If unable to do so, CO/DC only one that can prepare.
Aided prepared by injured cop. If unable to, then have another cop prepare.
Who will DO notify when a MOS is involved in a shooting incident, disaster or other violent occurrence resulting in death or injury?

They will send the Trauma Counseling Team
To scene.
MOS involved will cooperate and report to Psych Serv. or other location 48 hrs after incident OR initial contact with Trauma Team.

MOS causes SPI (Even accidentally)

Who will a MOS requesting a transfer submit all the copies of application to?

What are the 3 types of Overtime?
1- Non-ordered: extension of tour by 15 min or more, like arrest, aided or court appearance
2- Ordered: Parades, Demo (Only authorized by 3 Wise Men)
3- Emergency Ordered: Extra duty due to large scale disorder or emergencies. (Only authorized by 3 Wise Men)
Who will MOS submit overtime slip to?
Desk Officer when dismissed.
If performing OT at another command, then to that DO
If at a Parade or Demo, then to Immediate Supervisor
What will DO do if UMOS (No civilians) is AWOL for 2 hours or less during a scheduled tour of duty?
Make inquiries, sick desk, telephone record and roll call. Have DO, resident pct, have a supervisor visit UMOS
If UMOS lives outside NYC, DO will notify Intercity Correspondence Unit, who will notify local law enforcement
If UMOS is AWOL for 4 or more hours, who will DO notify?

Note- If matter issued an EEO Case #, forward CONFIDENTIAL report on 49 to DCEEO within 5 Business Days!
What’s the statue of limitation for filing an EEO Complaint?
From Date of last Discriminatory Incident NYPD- 1 Year NYS Human Rights- 1 Year NYC Human Rights- 1 Year US EEO Office- 300 Days
What are the options available for handling an EEO Complaint?
A. Investigation by DCEEO
B. Mediation by neutral service (not CO, or Supv)
C. Further actions the MOS can take on his own behalf
D. MOS filing a formal complaint with an outside agency
E. Referral to other personnel if not an EEO issue.
What a the proper steps a supervisor must follow after becoming aware of Offensive Material Display?
During business hours, or the next business days, call EEO and be guided by them.
Non-Business Hours, leave message with contact number AND:
A. Photo Offensive material
B. Immediate steps to secure, remove/cover from Public Display
C. Safeguard and invoice material as Investigatory
D. CLE (Don’t describe material)
E. Confidential 49 to DCEEO within 5 Business Days
