- ideomotor - common
2. ideational - rare (complete loss of the motor program)

- patient can do spontaneous movements
- movement breaks down if a command/immitation

-interference with transmission of proper impulses that go tot he motor and premotor cortex

-damage in left fronto-parietal neural circuit
