Purpose of this structure
(for softening negative statements)
S + ไม่ค่อย + adj + เท่าไหร่
This pattern is a useful expression for softening negative statements.
อากาศ ไม่ค่อย ดี เท่าไหร่
The weather isn’t very good.
อาหาร ไม่ค่อย อร่อย เท่าไหร่
The food isn’t very delicious.
เบสบอล ไม่ค่อย ยาก เท่าไหร่
Baseball isn’t that difficult.
ภาษาไทย ไม่ค่อย ยาก เท่าไหร่
Thai (language) is not very difficult.
