This functions like a regular DVR, but includes new features like the ability to stream recordings to mobile devices and computers with the Xfinity Stream app or from the Xfinity Stream portal (www.xfinity.com/stream). What are the equipment requirements for an X1 Cloud DVR?
If a customer would like an X1 Cloud DVR, the only requirement is that they have an XG1 (DVR) device in their home.
How can I access content using X1 Cloud DVR?
You can access DVR recordings on mobile devices with the Xfinity Stream app, or on a computer by going to the Xfinity Stream portal.
What devices are supported?
The Xfinity Stream portal is currently available for viewing on PCs and Macs. The Xfinity Stream app is currently available for iOS devices running 9.0 or higher and Android devices running 4.1 (Jelly Bean) or higher. Kindle Fire devices are supported. Windows phones and tablets are currently not supported.
In the event of a DVR box swap, will I still have access to my recordings?
Recordings made after June 7, 2016, or after the date you began using X1 Cloud DVR (whichever is later) will be accessible from your new TV Box as well as from mobile devices and computers.
