A

Because it allowed the Allies to have a base in which to bring more soldiers into france. Losts of casualties, because the germans had to fight a war on two fronts. it was a psychological blow for the germans because it meant they couldn’t bring in troops from france. In the space of 2-3 months the allies had got through france and were preparing to attack germany

It ended the long fight for the western desert, and was the only land battle won by british and commonwealth forces without direct american participation. it also led to the Afrika Korp’s retreat and also persuaded france to help in the north africa campaign
