A

No skill in man-management, not a confident judge of character, unwillingness to bargain/negotiate, going overboard with affection for people serving him loyally.

Why was Parliament a cause of the english civil war?

A

King charles wanted to raise taxes to have a war against Spain, but the MPs didn’t trust charles and refused. So charles sent the MPs home, but they thought he should rule with their help, however he ruled for eleven years without them.

A

Charles hated the puritan scottish church and tried to make it more like england’s church. His army was easily defeated and the scots said he should pay them for the expenses of the war. He called parliament to give him the money. They refused, unless he changed how he ruled the country.
