Less workers needed for livestock
division of land led to no common land so livestock grazing was more expensieve

england mostly traded w/ antwerp,ruled bySpanish Hapsburgs who hated england.

made it so that you needed a licence to perform, but instead of (as intended) deterring people from performing, many were happy to perform with one
where were theatres built?
outside the city walls, away from the authorities- where you could find the taverns, brothels and bear-baiting rings.
what were the benefits of theatres to people?
-cheapest tickets were 1p so anyone could attend
-the performances’ quality kept people coming back
-people used the theatres to socialise, flirt and make business connections
