What is an attachment?

An attachment is the string emotional bond formed between the caregiver and the infant, which is known as attachment.

what are the 3 main behaviours, that a baby displayed, whenever he has a strong attachment?

safe base behaviour, separation anxiety, stranger anxiety, and reunion behaviour.

what is safe base behaviour?
A
They treat their caregiver as a safe base, meaning as someone who they can immediately return to, once they feel scared and anxious.

this is anxiety or distress, when being separated from main caregiver.

A
Occurs when babies feel distressed or anxious, in the presence of stranger They have a preference for main attachment figure only
