What is the difference between a meta-analysis and a systematic review?
Meta-Analysis - combines data from multiple different research studies. A meta-analysis is a statistical process that combines the findings from individual studies.
Systematic Review - A summary of the clinical literature; a critical assessment and evaluation of all research studies that address a particular clinical issue.
What is the value of ‘peer’ review?
- The goal of peer review is to assess the quality of articles.
- Accuracy and validity of the research methodology and procedures.
- Peer-reviewed articles that are accepted for publication exemplify the best research practices in a field.
What is the definition of ‘MeSH’ ?
MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) is the National Library of Medicine’s controlled vocabulary thesaurus, used for indexing articles for MEDLINE or PubMED database.

What is the difference between a warranty and a guarantee?
-Warranty is compulsory by international law. The distributor and manufacturer will repair all breakdowns of the machine for no cost for one year.
- Guarantee is provided by the distributor. The distributor provides a written agreement that a treatment handpiece or parts will work for a certain amount of time after the warranty. If the part malfunctions, they will repair this at no cost or a reduced cost.
