the organizations commitment to principles, policies and practices relating to social responsibilities and relationships with stakeholders
What are the benefits of a higher level of Corporate Social Performance (CSP) (2)
- More applicants
- perceived as more attractive employers
what theory explains why job seekers are attracted by CSP and how does this work?
Signaling theory: job seekers have very little information, thus they rely on signals that they receive from whatever information they have to make inferences about the company as a whole
What are the 3 corresponding signal-based mechanisms that affect organizational attractiveness?
- Anticipated pride (prestigious org)
- Perceived value fit
- Expected treatment (less strong than other 2)
