Webinar Copy Flashcards
What is the purpose of a webinar?
Education + Value
What is a webinar about?
Talks about the content in the interest of your
the audience, it’s about them, not you
Focus on how you could give something to your
audience that is of great value to them
How should you think about webinars?
Think of it as a “freemium” product, leading your
prospect to “upgrade” to your paid product or
service later.
What should you NOT do in webinars?
Don’t talk about your own product or service, until
the end.
5 Webinar Tips
Keep your intro story short. It’s not about you –
it’s about your audience
Dive right into the meat. Don’t spend half the time
talking about yourself or your product
Incentivize engagement. Tell them what they’ll get
by watching all the way through to the end.
Make it 80% content. No hard-selling. Maximize value and education
Create an “open loop.” Tease that they’re going
to get something special by staying all the way
through the webinar
No scripts, just follow a bulleted outline
Think of webinars as ____
a freemium product/service
Webinar CTA Example
“I hope this has been highly educational and valuable for you. And look, if you want to take the next step, and learn more, I’ve got this other thing [insert core offer]”
Reverse Psychology in Webinars
“This is the free stuff and I have something else for you if you want to go to the next phase, but keep in mind you may not even need it… In fact, maybe you’re not even ready for it, maybe you are not at the right point in your life.”
