What’s the difference between a Caution and Advisory?
Caution has aural warning.
Advisory indented 1 space.
No aural warning.
If you don’t hit the cancel/reset for Warning Aural. What happens?
Alert for 10 seconds, silence for 30 seconds. Caution aural only announces once.
When will Red Warning EICAS light go out?
Fix the problem
How many EICAS messages can display at 1 time?

loss of:
Normal AC power
L + R EICAS computer
Dual CRT failure
Which EICAS computer produces EICAS symbols?

When is the warning light on the MCP and aural warning inhibited?
Nose gear weight off wheel to 400’ or 20 seconds
What protections utilise the nose gear extension sensor (weight off wheel)
Warning Inhibit
Caution inhibit

What are the parameters of the Caution Inhibit on the MCP and Aural Caution?
Caution inhibit 80kts to 400’ 20 seconds
What are status messages?
Maintenance messages, not as important as EICAS messages
What are the colours of the brake indications on EICAS?
1-2 Blue and Blue
3-4 White and Blue
5-6 White and White
7-9 White and While
If a CRT is compacted how is information displayed?
Primary instruments of N1 and EGT remain the same..
Will still be able to see 11 EICAS messages.
The remaining information in secondary instruments will be displayed on the working screen in alpha numeric order
When are status messages most important to you?
On the ground before start. In the air they’re useful for building a picture.
When are status messages inhibited?
In the air with a compacted CRT display
When does the take off config warning sound?
Parking Brake set
Stab trim not set for TO
Speed Brake not down
Flap not set for take off
Thrust lever advanced for TO
