Autoflight Mode Control Panel Flashcards
How do we know the FMC is managing speed?
IAS/Mach window closed
What angles does the boeing logic bank limit operate in?
15-25
What is the maximum intercept for the LOC?
120 degrees
What’s the maximum intercept for the G/S?
80 degrees
What should you see when pushing the APP button?
White GS/LOC armed
3 autopilots working – powered by independent electrical sources
FMA display on EADI
Pushing the APP button does what to the C autopilot?
Still powered by the C AC bus
Centre AC bus is now powered by the DC system through a static inverted
When selecting FD on what do you see?
FD on on EADI – powered by selected by the Flight Control Computer
First indication is 8 degrees nose up
On take off, two engines running, what does the FD pitch to?
V2 +15 in current dynamic state
If a speed which maintains a lower angle for more than 5 seconds boeing logic reconfigures FD to a max of V2 +25
On take off, with engine failure, what does the FD pitch to?
V2 +10
When is THR set?
70% N1
What does the SPD button do?
Allows A/T to maintain speed
When does the LNAV/VNAV button work?
VNAV from 400’ Atlas selects 1000’ if possible
LNAV from 50’ within 2.5nm of an active leg
When does IAS change to Mach?
FL300
Mach .4
How does FLC work?
Boeing logic controls FLC to try for altitude change to be completed in 2 minutes
Speed protection active
In FLC how is ROD pilot managed?
Thrust application
IAS/Mach window
