Why- Because of the idea of individual freedom these people all believed they were free even though they were bound to something else. They believed their lives were far better than any slaves because a slave wasn’t free but they were.

What- Because of the Industrial Revolution and then economic growth that created a lot more people could start businesses and do other things that made them money. These people were well off and usually tended to themselves at home.

Why- It grew quickly because having land was formerly seen as how rich you were but now because of the industrial revolution you could have money without having a lot of land.
