'Modulate' means change key (scale).  A 'related key' is one that contains similar notes to the scale of the tonic key, with maybe just 1 or 2 different ones.  In the concerto Vivaldi modulates to keys such as G minor (subdominant) and
A minor (dominant).

A

A remote key is one that has a considerable amount of different notes in its scale compared to the tonic key. The tonic D minor (DEFGABbC#D) compared to F minor (FGAbBbCDbEbF).
