a video format that has been around for a long time. More accurately called a DE-15.

What is VGA?
Video Graphics Array. it refers to both a display standard and a type of connector used for transmitting analog video signals between a computer or other video source and a display device such as monitor.

a series of hardware design guidlines published by microsoft and intel in the late 1990s.

What is a display port?
another video standard, also a digital standard and is able to send packetized video and audio signals over these display port cables. Also passively compatible with HDMI.
What is DVI?
Digital Video Interface. A video display interface standard that was developed to transmit digital video signals from a source device (such as a computer or DVD player) to a display device. It allows you to send video signal over single and dual link.
What signals can DVI tansmit?
both digital and analogue.
What is single link?
a single link interface has one set of data channels or pathways for transmitting video signals.
What is dual link?
a dual link interface includes two sets of data channels or pathways for transmitting video signals.
