What is a laser printerr?
A printer which combines high voltages, charged ions, powdered ink heat and paper
what is an imaging drum?
a crucial component in a laser printer. the image is drawn onto the photosensitive drum. It is painted with a laser. the drum is responsible for picking up the toner and transferring it to paper.
What is a fuser assembly?
responsible for permanently fusing toner onto the papers surface. the fuser archieves this by using heat and pressure.
what is a transfer belt and roller?
how the printer takes colour from all the multiple color toners and combine them on a single page
what are the most common colors inside your printer?
cyan, yellow, magenta and black
what is a pickup roller?
responsible for picking up paper and sending the page to the printing process.
what is step one of the printing process?
Processing. Build the entire page in memory.
what is step two?
Charging. prepare the drum with a negative electrostatic charge.
what is step 3?
Exposing. write the image with the laser
what is step 4?
Developing. Add negatively charged toner to the imaging drum.
what is step 5?
Transferring. Move the toner from the drum to the paper.
what is step 6?
Fusing. Heat and pressure.
what is step 7?
remove any excess toner.
