No cervical change after :
- 4hours of adequate uterine contractions
- 6 hours of inadequate uterine contractions
Why is prolonged second stage ?
More than 3 hours in primiparas
More than 2 hours in multiparras
Lead to c section of fetal head is not engaged
What is non reassuring fetal status ?
Heart beat too fat or too slow
Heart beat fails to increase during contraction
Heart beat fails to return to normal
What are maternal indications for a c section ?
- previous c section
- obstructive lesions of the lower genital tract m
- transmissible maternal infections
- preexisting cardiac disease
