A

T pallidum infects baby in uterus or when exiting through vagina

Features of primary syphilis ?

A
  • 1-3 weeks after t pallidium lands on skin or mucous membrane
  • painless ulcer
    ( raised border , hard base , fluid rich in spirochetes )
    ( resolves spontaneously within 3-6 weeks )
