Superficial veins

A
  • Basilic - originates from dorsal venous network of the hand, ascends medial aspect of upper limb, at border of teres major vein moves deep into arm -> combines with brachial veins to form axillary vein
  • Cephalic - arises from dorsal venous network of hand, ascends anterolateral aspect of upper limb, passing anteriorly at elbow, at shoulder travels between deltoid and pec. major and enters axilla via clavipectoral triangle, terminates by joining axillary vein
  • Median cubital vein - connects cephalic and basilic at elbow
