  • Origin - calcaneus, interosseous talocalcaneal ligament and inferior extensor retinaculum
  • Attachment - long extensor tendons of 4 lateral digits
  • Actions - aids extensor digitorum longus in extending medial 4 toes at metatarsophalageal and interphalangeal joints
  • Innervation - deep fibular nerve
