Required Vaccine for Hajj season:

Meningococcal vaccine: All and visitors arriving from African countries must receive oral Cipro 500mg as chemoprophylaxis.
Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) for visitors coming from Afgan,Pakistam,Nigeria and Chad.
Vaccine CI in pregnancy:
Measles,mumps,rubella (MMR) & varicella BCG
Which of the following vaccines should be administerd for every pregnant woman?
Pregnant women should receive a dose of Tdap during each pregnancy, ideally between 27 and 36 weeks gestation.
Tdap & Dtap are the same vaccines but Tdap is used for adult and pregnant , Dtap is used for (0-6) years old children
Live attenuated vaccine:
Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR)
2 years old child come to clinic for taking hepatitis vaccine , we know that he took pneumonia vaccine from month ago , so we should:
Give him the vaccine immediately
Non-live (inactivated, killed, sub unit, or recombinant) recommended for adults with autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic conditions
- Pneumococcus (PCV13 and PPSV23); for all
- Seasonal influenza virus: annually
- Hepatitis A virus & Hepatitis B virus: at risk patients. i.e. at occupational risk workers.
- Meningococcus, Haemophilus influenzae, Human papillomavirus: at risk patients.
- Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap) or tetanus, diphtheria (Td): All patients per guidelines for healthy adults (eg, single dose of Tdap followed by Td booster every 10 years)
- Recombinant zoster vaccine: Either zoster vaccine recommended prior to immunosuppression and for those on low-dose immunosuppression; neither recommended for those receiving moderately to highly immunosuppressive medications (ZVL specifically contraindicated)
Live, attenuated vaccines include:
1.Zoster vaccine, live (ZVL):for those on low-dose immunosuppression.
2.Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR)**:who have not be previously vaccinated and/or lack evidence of measles immunity
Yellow fever: Patients residing in or traveling to endemic areas (tropical areas of Africa and Central and South America)
*****Contraindicated for immunosuppressed patients
