2
Q
What Elements are needed for fertilisers to help make plants their optimum

3
Q
What are the stages of eutrophication.
A
- Fertilisers from the soil in fields leach into rivers
- Algae grows uncontrollable in the water
- An algae bloom covers the river and stops light getting to other plants
- Bacteria feeds on the dead plants and Algae
- Bacteria increases and uses up the rivers oxygen.
- Animals Die
4
Q
Why do animals die due to eutrophication?
A
The water animals like fish don’t have enough oxygen due to the algae cover and bacteria so die
The land animals like foxes cant get to the water due to the Algae cover so die of thirst
If they do drink the water with the algae they will get ill and die.
4
