Q

How does coronary heart disease occur

17
Q

How can you open up an artery?

A

Doctors can use a stent which allows the blood to deliver nutrients and oxygen to the heart muscle again

18
Q

What does bypass heart surgery do?

A

Replaces damaged coronary arteries with lengths of veins

19
Q

What are statins prescribed for?

A

To lower cholesterol which in turn reduces the build up of fatty material in the arteries
