What does Turgor mean?
A
The pressure inside a plant cell exerted by the cell contents pressing on the cell wall

What happens when the outside solution is hypotonic?
A
Water moves in and keeps the cells rigid which supports the plants

What happens to plant cells in hypertonic solution?
A
plant cells lose water and become flaccid so the plant wilts

What is Plasmolysis?
A
When water leaves the cell because of being placed in a hypertonic solution making the vacuole and cytoplasm shrink, causing the membrane to pull away from the cell wall
