What did Eysenck suggest?
That introverts have more activity in a part of the brain called the reticular activating system (RAS) so need less stimulation from the environemnt
Describe introverts
Introverts tend to avoid loud, crowded places and large groups, good at tasks that require focus
Describe extroverts
Extroverts have lower levels of arousal so need to have more stimulation and tend to be more outgoing
What are sports people more likely to be: introverted or extroverted?
Extroverted

Experience higher levels of anxiety due to their autonomic nervous system - flight or fight

Competitive or aggressive
What links with high scores in psychoticism?
Being more competitive and they are more likely to take part in physical sports or those that have a higher risk
