Not effective at improving ROSC rates or survival to d/c unless targeted at patients with a high suspicion of PE
Applies to all clinical staff

What are the indications for thrombolysis?
A
- High suspicion for PE
- Arrest/periarrest
- No discernible contraindications
- Good chance of neurological recovery

What are the contraindications for thrombolysis?
A
- Concern for IC bleeding
- Concern for dissection
- Known allergy

What are the considerations following administration of thrombolysis?
A
Prolonged resuscitation
Convey with ongoing CPR
If ROSC may need vasopressor support
Consider destination eg. cath lab/ECMO

Under what circumstances could you consider thrombolysis in acute MI?
A
Trapped and in arrest/periarrest
