• Need to be done at the start of each shift
• Don’t check the aircraft until the pilots have completed their check A and give permission
• All equipment on all vehicles that are ‘booked on’ with EOC need to be checked, some only need to be done every 24hrs
• Rectify deficiencies as soon as they are detected
• Challenge and response
• Record on appropriate checklist
• Involve trainee medical crew
• Inform Senior Ops and Lead Para about deficiencies and submit a datix
• Any deficiencies that cannot be sorted need to inform HEMS dispatcher
• Use green tagged kit then check untagged kit
