Synthetic purine nucleoside analogue with inhibitory action against human herpes viruses.

How do you administer Clindamycin?
A
Add 600mg/4ml to 100ml bag of 5% Glucose. Give over 20-30 minutes

How do you administer Clindamycin to a paediatric patient?
A
Dose: 5mg/kg
Remove 44ml from 100ml bag 5% Glucose (10mg/ml)
Add the Clinda and label
Calculate 0.5ml/kg and remove excess volume
Administer required volume to patient over 20 mins
