Prescribe medication.
What are psychologists?
Phd’s or Psy.Ds in clinical psychology who are state licensed.
What is a psychiatrist?
An MD who goes on to specialize in mental problems .
What are counselors?
MFCCs, MFTs, or other master’s degree state licensed therapists for relational day to day trouble.
What are psychoanalysts?
Psychologists or psychiatrists with training in psychodynamics.
What are social workers?
Work for foster care or other government agencies. Require a masters degree in social work and state licensing.
What are therapists?
Therapist can be anyone, they have no oversight.
What are the recovery rates with therapy?
94-95%
In what time frame is therapy most helpful?
At least 4 months, up to two years.
