sloppy, lax, disorderly, and emotional. Cannot be controlled.
What are traits of anal retentive personalities?
Excessively orderly, stingy, stubborn and rule focused.
What is the phallic stage?
The oeplical complex is said to arise.
What occurs during phallic stage?
Sexual identity, sex roles, and sexual orientation supposedly develops.
What mechanisms begin to develop during the phallic stage?
Castration anxiety (boys) and penis envy (girls)
What is is the process of castration anxiety?
Boy loves his mother, wants to be like her.
