Q

Acromioclavicular joint Joint Type

A
  • Diarthrodial -most common and movable type of joint characterized by the presence of a layer of fibrocartilage or hyaline cartilage that lines the opposing bony surfaces
  • Ovoid - egg-shaped
  • Planar Joint - two bones in which the articular, or free, surfaces of the bones are flat or nearly flat, enabling the bones to slide over each other. (Gliding Joint)
