○Main prayer hall is almost empty; there’s no alter, no pews, no flowers, no candles, no pictures, no statues
○Walls of some mosques are beautifully decorated with patterns and sentences from the Qur’an
○Floor usually covered with a deep carpet or prayer mats
○Mihrab facing Mecca
○Only piece of furniture is Minbar
