Sin
Any deliberate thought, word or action that damages a persons relationship with God or other people
Sins of commission
We sin by deliberately doing something wrong. For example stealing or cheating
Sins of omission
We sin by failing to do what is right. For example ignoring bullying or failing to speak up for someone who was wrongly accused
Judgement
The belief that, in the end, God will judge each person on their moral behaviour
Forgiveness
To have pity and be willing to excuse someone’s mistake or wrong doing
Forgiveness does not mean…
…we forget about wrongdoing and pretend it didn’t happen
Forgiveness does mean…
… giving up the desire to keep on blaming and hating, letting go of anger and hurt, and moving on
