mechanism of action?
A
binds to 30S subunit
prevents elongation by interfering with binding of tTNRA to mRNA

contraindications
A
can impair development so should not be given in early childhood (< 12 y/o) and pregnancy
not to be given to those with renal impairment as it can increase plasma urea and decrease excretion.
