How does UK Sport identify talent
- Run recruitment / talent confirmation programmes
- Athletes submit application to UK Sport
- If successful, will be invited to phase 1 testing

- Discussions between pathway staff and key coaches
- Look at athletes progress / fitness level (good transition from junior-senior level)
Tall & Talented
UK Sport in search for athletic:
- Men over 6ft 3in
- Women over 5ft 11in
Build up to Rio 2016
Used for sports where height might be advantage (rowing)
World Class Programme
- 1300 of GBs athletes benefit from UK Sport investment
- E.g. Jonnie Peacock
- Ensures athletes get world class support & funding via NGBs
