activities perpetrated by/ in support of governments or state policies, usually to further their cause or policies

genocide
war crimes-(killing civilians in name of war, rape to civilians)
torture- (punish/ confession)
imprisonment without trial
police brutality
political crimes- (election rigging)
funding terrorism
corruption
crimes against peace
violence

European convention of human rights ( ECHR)

why was it difficult to prosecute after the Holocaust?
able to say they was following orders & LAWS

people who work for the government

politicians NOT always HIGH powers, could
civil servants be high official or low paid
police officers guard. if they take part they are
security forces- (MI5, CIA) an offender

generally a citizen of the targeted:

what are state crimes?
(criminal/ deviant)

ONLY criminal if leader of the country HASN’T made laws saying it should continue/ enforce it/ backing it up.
however
ALWAYS CRIMINAL IN AN INTERNATIONAL COURT
